ABOUT
Rod is a first generation Filipino-American college graduate raised in the Central Coast of California. He spent his first 2 years at UC Santa Barbara and later received his BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from CSU Fullerton in 2004. He would later attend CSU Northridge to obtain his Masters in Physical Therapy in 2008. In 2011, Rod became an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. He is a trained provider of Graston Technique, an Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization technique. In order to stay up to date, Rod has taken numerous continuing education courses that include the geriatric population, sports injuries and post-surgical interventions. However, his passion is working with athletes, sports injuries and how to minimize the effect of the aging process. In an effort to further help the aging population, Rod became a Certified Fall Prevention Specialist in October 2022.
In his personal time, Rod loves to spend time with his lovely wife Sarah and his daughter Sophia. He loves to travel, mountain bike, weight train, and play basketball. Rod is an avid sports fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and San Francisco 49ers.
